Error syncing with Github for Mac

I get this error after trying to login during synchronization. I do not know what causes it, and can not find any information about this when searching. I know that I am entering the correct user and password. Does anyone have any ideas?

Figured it out. You must change the address of the primary remote repository in the github application settings. Changed it to an SSH address, and now it works. shrug
