How to force gem assembly in rails 3.01 - issue with rmagick on release

I sold rmagick and did not behave. Works great when not for sale, but when used with:

gem unpack rmagick --target vendor/gems Fetching: rmagick-2.13.1.gem (100%) Unpacked gem: '/Users/joelnylund/Projects/aras/vendor/gems/rmagick-2.13.1'

Then, when I try to load my server, I get:

/Users/joelnylund/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.2-p320/gems/activesupport-3.0.17/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:242:in `require': no such file to load -- RMagick2.so (LoadError)

I used "rake gems: build: force" to fix this on rails 2.3.5, but now it gives me the same error. How can I point rails 3 to a built-in gem assembly?

A similar question, but there is no answer: there is no such file to download - RMagick2.so

Have you tried running rake gems:build ?
