Catalina.properties overrides on reboot of Tomcat

Question

I added the common.loader property to Catalina.properties (for example, added C: / apps / conf) and it gets reset when I restart Tomcat 7. Although this does not apply to every restart.

I wonder why it is sometimes redefined when the server bounces, any ideas?

If you are using Eclipse, be sure to update Catalina.properties in the Servers project in the workspace before rebooting. This is the main version of this file and will overwrite everything that you may have changed in your tomcat directory.
