I use the DGSL (Direct Direct Shader Language) editor in VS 2012 to create a shader that I want to export to HLSL and then upload to MAYA

At this point, I canโt understand for life what to create custom names for inputs, and also set variables so that I can create connections in May ..
There is little or no documentation on this VS feature. Has anyone had any experience with this editor to create shaders for programs like Maya or Max?
