I have an AppEngine application running on myappname.appspot.com and I added the status.domain1.com URL. However, the point of this entire project is that the application runs on: status.domain2.com. The domain1.com domain has a primary domain associated with our Google Apps account, and domain2.com is associated with this account as an active domain.
When I go to the "myappname (App Engine)" settings in our control panel and I try to "Add a new URL" as status.domain2.com, I get an error banner:
The term 'domain2.com' is not allowed.
This is even though "domain2.com" is listed as one of the domains associated with our account and is available in the drop-down menu.
How can I get VirtualHost status.domain2.com to work? We already have this domain in our Google Apps account, but Google Apps support cannot help.
This question is similar to Google App Engine and domain name and How to specify multiple domain names in one Google App Engine application? but in this case I can add ' myname@domain2.com ' as the administrator of domain2.com domain in Google Apps and I have "domain2.com" as a drop-down list when I do "Add new URL", but I I still get an error message.
This mistake in GAE made me pull my hair out. It is a pity that I did not go this way.
