How to make a taskbar application (Windows) on Windows

The only way I know to start a Windows application is through CreateWindow . Unfortunately, there is no window style for the taskbar application, and I was wondering how to do it. I found this explanation in C #, but I'm looking for a solution that can be compiled using VC ++ 2008. Any solutions?
