HTML5 video service via http

This is a question about my old question , which I think is too specific to get an answer.

Generally speaking, how do I serve HTML5 video via http?

Assuming an H.264 file of 233 MB in size, I just write

HTTP/1.1 200 OK Content-Type: video/mp4 Content-Length: 232725251

and then try to insert 232725251 bytes into the socket or is there anything else?

Is this generally documented?

This is if the client does not request a specific range (which is defined in http://greenbytes.de/tech/webdav/draft-ietf-httpbis-p5-range-21.html ).
