WAMP Apache not starting

I made my way through the boards, but could not find a solution to my problem.

I ran netstat and nothing else uses port 80. I disabled every bit of security on my system, just to make sure nothing stops it.

MySQL loads just fine, but Apache does not start. Using the tester built into port 80 also says that port 80 is clear, but when I press the Apache service start button in WAMP, nothing happens.

Any help is appreciated.

Run cmd.exe as an administrator. Then do:

httpd -t httpd -k start

Are there error messages?

If not, temporarily disable any firewall and antivirus software that you have. Try again.

If you still do not receive error messages, uninstall WAMP and try one of the other distributions - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_WAMPs

I had the same problem, but I solved it by exiting Skpe, stopping the Skype service called Skype C2C Service and starting the wampapache service. After I started wampserver, I then logged in to Skype After. Both Skype and amperver work after this process.

Ok, just do one. If you are using skype, close it. restart all services, it may work, since it worked for me.

This sometimes happens when the Windows Event Log service is disabled. I recently ran into the same problem, and searched in vain for various answers on the Internet. But later I remembered that I turned off the Windows event log service in Oder to smoothly launch the game. So I turned on this service again, and now everything is working fine.

I opened services.msc from the command line and disabled SQL Server Reporting Services

& SQL Server Analysis Services. These services used port 80.

Then I restarted WAMP Server and started working as before.

Check the location of the DocumentRoot directory, if one exists.

DocumentRoot "C: / wamp / www /"

I solved the problem only after the following steps. Hope this helps you.

  • Go to Wamp/Apach/httpd.conf
  • In httpd.conf find Listen in my case Listen 0.0.0.0:80
  • Just change the last digit, which means your Listen will be Listen 0.0.0.0:81
  • Save the file, then run Apache

Thanks Amzad

hi solution is simple. all you have to do is right-click the wampserver icon on the taskbar and select exit. after that, right-click on the wampserver.exe icon and select the option “run as administrator” as the context menu. this is. he will solve your problem.
