Forced adaptive mesh Bootstrap does not collapse in phone mode

I am building a site with Bootstrap. There are times when I want the grid to crash in phone mode, but sometimes I don’t do it - the main menu is, for example, a panel containing several elements in a row. And I want them to stay floating in phone mode, rather than folding over each other, which is the default behavior for the "inborn fluid" grid.

Is there a built-in way to accomplish this, like a non-responsive grid in all resolutions? Or will I have to roll on my own?

I know this is old, but it appears in google search and I found the answer ...

Don't want your columns to simply stack on smaller devices? Use additional grid classes for medium and medium devices by adding .col-xs- * .col-md- * to your columns.
