I get the following error:

He says he cannot find a model for the source repository? What does it mean?

Code:

 - (void)createPersistentStoreCoordinator { NSURL *storeUrl = [NSURL fileURLWithPath:self.pathToStoreFile]; NSError *error; _persistentStoreCoordinator = [[NSPersistentStoreCoordinator alloc] initWithManagedObjectModel:_managedObjectModel]; // Allow inferred migration from the original version of the application. NSDictionary *options = [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys: [NSNumber numberWithBool:YES], NSMigratePersistentStoresAutomaticallyOption, [NSNumber numberWithBool:YES], NSInferMappingModelAutomaticallyOption, nil]; if (![_persistentStoreCoordinator addPersistentStoreWithType:NSSQLiteStoreType configuration:nil URL:storeUrl options:options error:&error]) { if (self.delegate != nil && [self.delegate respondsToSelector:@selector(managedObjectStore:didFailToCreatePersistentStoreCoordinatorWithError:)]) { [self.delegate managedObjectStore:self didFailToCreatePersistentStoreCoordinatorWithError:error]; } else { NSAssert(NO, @"Managed object store failed to create persistent store coordinator: %@", error); //fails right here } } }

Things you should check out:

  • Make sure you load your context correctly and the .momd file is added to your application package
  • Make sure your object is named "repository" in the datamodel visual editor.

In addition, when working with CoreData there is interesting user information that contains a lot of useful information:

 NSDictionary *ui = [error userInfo]; for(NSString *err in [ui keyEnumerator]) { NSLog(@"err:%@",[ui objectForKey:err]); }

I noticed that you are using RestKit, and I had this problem before and solved it by deleting my SqlLite database. For me, this was when I added a new relationship, and the database did not like the new attribute.

Note: this works fine in development, but in Production, you will need to migrate the master data, as users do not want their data to be lost (depending on your application).

Yes, I agree with firetoast. The problem disappears for me when I just uninstall my application from the device / emulator and reinstall. This usually happens to me after editing my main data scheme and using restkit to save.

NSAssert makes a statement about whether the statement is true or not. By passing NO to this, you do this so that it always fails to validate the statement. I assume this is a forced failure if the previous if statement is false.
