How to avoid an implicit mailto link in a restructured text?

I am new to the restructured text and am trying to write a document that refers to a project with a β€œat” in the name, something like β€œFoo @BAR”. When I convert a .rst file to HTML using the docutils tool "rst2html", it is converted to a "mailto" link. If I use double backlinks for verbatim rendering, it turns into a monospaced text. How can I make it appear in a plain text font and not convert to a link?

You can use the escaping character to include @ in a word. The reStructuredText has an escape character \ , so try using Foo\@BAR in your document.
