How to create and use a template for a category in K2?

Question

I work with Joomla 1.5 and K2 2.5, and I don’t know how to specify a specific style for the category, I still don’t understand the “override” thing.

I follow this guide:

My categories still have the same style, what am I missing there?

I was careful (I think so), putting all the files without success.

Please check:

• Selecting the correct template on the backend (K2 → Categories → Edit category → Variety of category elements (tab on the right) → Select template).

• If you do not see the name of your custom template, double-check the path to the template.

• To have another css file (one for each category template, if you want) from K2, install this plugin:
