How to configure my mac ftp client with amazon ec2 instance?

So far I have done the following:

  • Deployed amazon ec2 instance.
  • The received certificate / key from the instance on the desktop.
  • I have ftp cyberduck on my mac.

What else is left?

I am stuck in the puddy part to convert a key to my desktop.

If an SSH server is running on your EC2 computer, you are basically ready to go. See the Cyberduck manual on public key authentication , especially this part:

In the Connection dialog box or the Bookmark editor in Cyberduck, select Use Public Key Authentication and select the private key in your .ssh directory.

Follow this video for step by step instructions.

Open Cyberduck → Open Connection → Select SFTP from the drop-down list Provide the necessary parameters and additional parameters Click "Use public key authentication" and specify the path to the .pem file. Then click the connect button
