Connecting an Android phone to a local server without a third device

I know that the question line is a bit ambiguous, but I could not come up with a better one.

My question is:
I have an Android application that makes an HTTP request, the server is currently running on the local computer. Therefore, when I am in my office, I connect both my laptop (on which the server is located) and my phone on the same local network. And make this HTTP request using a hit on the laptop's IP .

It's alright, I want to know when I get home. I don’t have WiFi and I don’t have a third device (so that I can use it as a WiFi access point). So, is there any tool with which I can achieve this. The laptop and phone have WiFi.

You should try Connectify Me ... install it on your laptop and it will make it a Wi-Fi receiver to work as a Wi-Fi broadcast network .. If you can connect your Android browser to this broadcast network, as usual, with other wifi networks.

And I hope you can access the server hosted on the laptop from your Android device ...
