How to reduce build time in eclipse?

I work with eclipse. When Eclipse reboots / opens, I cannot work until the builder closes the workspace or finishes the work. How can I reduce this time?

Take a look at the screenshot.

Sometimes my eclipse is hung because of this. I can not continue my workflow. This happened not only during a reboot. For the eclipse open / close project. Any solution on this?

One good way is to pause all checks when you create a new workspace in eclipse, this will reduce the time when starting eclipse

To do this, go to window --> preferences , find validation and check suspend all validators . See image for more details. enter image description here

Hope this helps you.

I ran into such a problem. I will not say that this is a complete solution to the problem. But I did this:

Look at the plugins installed in your eclispe and not used in your project. Remove them from eclipse.

Also look at your code. There may be some code that tries to reference some scripts or plugins that might be skipped / deleted.

This will reduce the time it takes to create a workspace. Hope this helps you.

The Eclipse Desktop Builder only starts when resources change. Therefore, if it starts building immediately after starting Eclipse, something has changed the contents of the workspace. It could be

  • another plugin in the same instance of eclipse or
  • A tool outside of Eclipse that changed workspace files during the time that Eclipse was not running.

In your case, this may be due to Mercurial, judging by the line "hg cache" in the message. Therefore, check if you have automatic updates of files with a controlled version.
