Filepicker.io loads crash for resources> 1.6 MB

Question

This morning we noticed that our filepicker.io downloads are no longer processed if the file size exceeds ~ 1.6MB. Not sure if this is due to a recent update to the Javascript API (v1), but at the moment, our users cannot upload files.

The POST request for filepicker returns 200, but the progress bar stops at 99.30%. Any ideas?
