ASP.NET 2.0 Session variables lost in a popup in IE 7 when deployed to a server

Question

I open a java script form popup like this.

window.showModalDialog (popUrl, name, appearance)

In chrome, it works great. but in IE my session variables are lost.

Please, help!!!!!
