What is the difference between Broken Pipe and Connection reset by peer?

During my daily work, I need to continue connecting to the server via SSH, and I usually get two different types of errors: the first is "Broken Pipe" and the second is "Connection reset by peer".

I am wondering what is the difference between these two sets of errors?

Actually this is not. Both indicate that the connection is broken. A “broken pipe” is a Unix thing that does not exist on Windows, as far as I know, and perhaps this only happens when writing, where a “reset connection” can occur both when reading and writing.
