To answer my own question, I convinced my boss, not using academic research, as an argument. We bought it, I made a small demonstration of what a (very small) investment was, and he was very pleased. Most of all he liked:
- Live and file templates (obvious and very economical time saving)
- Refactoring (maintaining quality).
- Effective short cuts (time saving).
- Test drive (save time, maintain and improve quality)
So it turns out I don't need Resharper performance studies, but I'm still interested.
