HTML5 / JS Audio: is real-time mixing possible?

Does anyone have an overview of the situation with the browser API today (October 2012)?

Is it possible today to create synchronized real-time mixing of several (2-6) MP3 audio files?

If not, is there any work (alpha, beta) that will make this possible?

Here's a great overview of the web audio API that lets you mix sound. However, the support table does not look very good.
