CSS returns to default on Chrome dev tools

Question

I use MAMP on the OSx Mountain Lion.

while working on a site hosted on the local host all of a sudden, when I try to edit CSS in the developer’s chrome tools, it returns to default.

Example:

if I change the border : 0px to : 1px , it goes back to 0px .

this only happens on the site on the local host.

any help would be appreciated ...

Test your CSS with a tool like CSSLint . It seems that recent Chrome builds will not allow you to edit CSS in the developer tools that appear after a syntax error in your CSS.
