Website Access Permissions

Please, help. I am new and trapped with TFS and Sharepoint combos. Come from the old school, where in IIS you right-click and set permissions for the website, and now I can not find sharepoint sites in IIS 7 to actually grant me permissions. When I open localhost / sites / project in IE, I get an error: access is denied. This is the sharepoint site that TFS set up when I added the project in Visual Studio 2010 to my TFS ProjectCollection. How to access the website?

Permission is not granted to SP sites directly from IIS.

If you know or know the administrator of the SP site collection, ask them to give you the appropriate access to the SP site you are requesting. Otherwise, if there are no site collection administrators, go up to the SP farm administrator, ask the farm administrator to provide you with a site collection administrator for the SP website collection that you are trying to access. The team project site is under the site collection.

From there, you can give other users access to the appropriate SP resources using Site Actions> Site Permissions.

You must be granted permissions within SharePoint by the site collection administrator.

The site collection administrator must go to localhost / sites / {tfscollection} / {tfsproject}, click Site Settings, and then the People and Groups link.

From there, you should be added to the site and granted the appropriate permissions.

There really is a good utility that makes it easy to view / edit permissions for TFS, SharePoint and the report server at the same time.
