PyQt QComboBox Dropdown Direction

I am working on an application in which the QComboBox is at the bottom of the window. From my limited understanding, I believe Qt should automatically calculate the direction of the dropdown based on the amount of free space for the popup. However, in my case, the downward direction is still in the default state (displayed below the field) and therefore is hidden and inaccessible. Can someone help me figure out why this might happen, or maybe if there is a way to get Qt to display a popup over QComboBox?

- EDIT -

The image below shows the problem and my fix. I'm still not sure if there is a way to set the direction manually, but in this case I no longer need it. Dropdown direction error

This thread discussed the same topic, see .http: //qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/9111. And yes, with the reimplementation of showPopup () you can do it, I think.
