Built-in folding org-mode sections

I am looking to get a legible section in the middle of a stream, is there a way to get something like this with org-mode? IE, to be able to bring down a part of the body called the "side track"?

Your question is very similar to the FAQ .

Perhaps you are looking for inlinetasks or just list the elements (which also crash with TAB ):

 * Installing xyz make package1 make package2 - Sidetrack, get package3 curl package3 tar -xvf package3 make package3

You do not need to put another bullet (in this case, a dash) to complete the element, if you stop indenting and let your text be in column 0. If you want to indent all of this, then back off the bullet, and the record will consist of everything indented more than a bullet. Details in the Org manual .
