Programmatically recover application data

Question

how can i programmatically recover application data from sdcard on the root device ???

I am working on backup and recovery applications and I have taken the following steps:

-Back Up case I copied the data application from / data / data / PackageName / to SDcard

I uninstalled the application and reinstalled it

-Restore case I copied the same data application in backUp from SDcard to / data / data / PackageName /

but the application stopped when i started it?

If the application stores data in an SDCard, then you should also backup this data ... the path to this data is: "/ mnt / sdcard / Android / data / Packagename /".
