Xcode: alternative way to create segue from a control not using Control + drag?

I am running Xcode 4.3.3 through a VNC connection with a Max OSX field where Control + drag does not work. I would like to create a segue called by a button on the first scene. The usual way is to control + drag and drop from the button to the second scene, but this does not work due to VNC. Is there an alternative way to do this? To create outlets, there is a workaround by right-clicking the control and dragging it from the list of events to the VC source code. Is there a similar workaround for starting sessions?

Thanks.

if it is a UIButton, right-click on it, you will see an option with segue enabled. Click on the round circle on the right side and drag it to the destination.

If it is a viewController, right-click on the ViewController next to the first responder (orange box), you will also see the segue option called up. Click on the round circle on the right side and drag it to the destination to create a segment.
