How to get top and bottom margins in emacs

how do i get top and bottom margins (e.g. left and right fringe) when using emacs? I find that at the beginning of the text at the top of the screen it’s a little uncomfortable when I write or view large blocks of text.

I can’t find the marker parameter of the upper and lower limits, but there is a frame parameter of internal-border-width , which may be sufficient. You should set it for the current frame as follows:

 (set-frame-parameter nil 'internal-border-width 10)
