SSRS 2012 graphics without rendering

We recently upgraded to SQL Server 2012, and after rebooting a couple of days ago, all of our diagrams stopped working.

All charts in various reports now appear as a broken image with a red "x" in the upper left corner when I try to view them from the report view controls. This happens both in Report Manager and in a third-party application that uses the report viewer control to display reports. Charts are also broken in report subscriptions that send reports as an attached PDF file.

However, the charts work great with our custom web applications that do not use the report viewing management tool - we have code to visualize reports directly in pdf format and display them in PDF format in a web browser.

Does anyone know of any issues with recent updates that may be causing the problem? Or is there something I should add to web.config?

Any suggestions are welcome.

I was able to solve the problem by performing a restore operation using the SQL Server installer. I think the report server is corrupted.
