How to install iOS simulator on Xcode 4.5 manually?

I have a new installation of Xcode 4.5. This is not a iOS 5.0 simulator. I downloaded a copy of the ios_50_simulator.dmg file.

I installed the .dmg file on OSX and am doing the installation directly. However, the iOS 5.0 simulator is not installed in my Xcode 4.5 applications.

Any ideas?

Open the "Settings" window in Xcode, go to the "Downloads - components" section. You can install simulator iOS 5.0.
