Enhanced iOS: Marker Detection and 3D Projection

I need to develop an iOS application that can detect a marker through an iPhone camera and a 3D project model on top of that marker.

I've been looking for some useful information on this topic all day, but all I had was a brain mix of ARToolkit / OpenCV / NyARToolkit / cpp, etc. etc ... Being a noob when it comes to compiling and combining the library I downloaded several sample applications from different sources to see if I could understand, but that was just black-ready-to-use magic. Many of the questions on this topic here at SO come about a year or two ago, so maybe there is something valuable.

Using an iPhone camera or OpenGL - there are a lot of tutorials to start with, but finding the / iamges tokens and using the libraries needed to do this is what makes you helpless. Where and where to start?

I found this https://github.com/jonmarimba/NyArToolkit-iOS

I have not tried this because I use NyARToolKit for Unity3d , its big.

NyARToolKit for Unity3D comes with samples. It is very simple to create applications (iOS, Android, desktop) using Unity3D.

Check out this tutorial

I hope this helps you

In the end, I got a new Vuforia iOS SDK. They released version 2 in December, which is pretty cool with cloud recognition and previous things. Although it is really hard to bite, he does his job, I think.
