Unable to simulate in Xcode 4.5

Since upgrading to Xcode 4.5, I cannot open my applications in the simulator.

It says: "Shutdown on the iPhone 5.0 Simulator."

Sometimes, after retrying twice or thrice, Simulator finally launches, but the application never launches in it.

I'm mad at this new version of Xcode.

I started a new project with a simple presentation of "Hello World". Even a clean new project cannot solve the problem.

Am I really hiding something in the config?

thanks

Lionel

Change 9/21

When I try to launch my iPad 2 with iOS 5.1, I have the following error, which may be related to what I described above:

"Select a destination with a supported architecture to run on this device."

  • The purpose of my project deployment is 5.0
  • My project settings: valid architectures = armv7 armv7s
  • My target deployment target is 5.0
  • My Target base SDK 6.0
  • My target architectures: armv7 armv7s

IOS 6 is updated on my iPhone 4: same error.

Again, I started from scratch, deleting all the information from the application and carefully returning each file, and everything works without problems.

It is unlikely that this is not one of your settings. Xcode just sometimes gets into a weird state. Common fixes are forced exit from Xcode, forced exit simulator, reboot.
