In Eclipse, how to make a Flat Presentation default in Team Perspective?

When using a centralized version control system such as CVS or SVN, I like to see my changes in Team Synchronizing View before I commit them. By default, Eclipse collapses the source tree, and I always need to click the small arrow in the "Show Java Workspace" icon and check the box for Flat Presentation:

Dropdown menu for choosing flat presentation

Is there a way to do this by default for a synchronization perspective?

I found a way to do this for SVN by unchecking the Allow models to participate in synchronization box:

Eclipse - Team - SVN - View Settings

The same can be done for CVS in Team β†’ CVS β†’ Sync / Compare Settings, although I have not tested it.

UPDATE: If this does not work for the first time, in the View menu (by clicking the small arrow next to the Minimize button for the Synchronize panel), select Presentation β†’ Tree.
