Where are the transformations stored in Pentaho data integration

This may be a basic question, but I would like to know where the conversions are stored in Pentaho data integration. I am currently connecting to the repository, and all my tasks and conversions are saved there. I would like to be able to tell the email about the specific conversion to another person. I checked on the server if there are .ktr files, but could not find. How to save the transformation to the local desktop.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Open from the repository and then export to XML (in the File menu). Name the exported file the same as the name of the conversion in the repository. .Ktr files are just XML.

To clarify: .ktr files are actually XML. If you export the file in XML format, but name it .ktr, you can open and edit it using PDI / Spoon, etc.

If you have a file-based repository: when choosing which repository to connect to, click the edit button (small pencil), which will show you the "base directory". This is where your jobs / transformations reside. Be careful not to spoil these files.

If you have a database-based repository, then for things like sending multiple transformations by email, you should follow @FremenFreedom's advice.

Take a look at an open source tool called krex. It was written by Roland and is very useful as it will export part or all of the database repository to Ktr and kjb files.

Best of all, it's pdi's job itself!
