I need to import over 280,000 records into mysql (sqlite is also excellent). I have only xlsx format. I could not convert this to an xls file. Is there a way or option to import in the latest version or any better tool. thanks in advance.
You can use the Data Import Tool in dbForge Studio for MySQL .
Open the data import wizard, select the format "MS Excel 2007", specify other parameters and click "Import".
See if you can convert the xslx file to csv format and then follow this message: Import Excel data into MySQL in 5 easy steps
Take a look at sqlizer.io . You can load the xlsx files, specify the sheet name and range of cells, and it will generate the CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements that you need.
