Gwt to create an Android application

I am developing my first Android application and wondering what is best for an experienced GWT developer.

During my research, I found a phone space that helps you develop multiple platforms using HTML and javascript, as I continued to search, I found mgwt and gwt-phonegap, which I think will be useful for the GWT developer. Before I begin to delve into this, I would like to ask experienced phone developers if I am in the right direction. Perhaps using a simple SDK will be easier for me, because I just want it to work on Android phones. Maybe someone can suggest other alternatives? My application is pretty simple, but requires some phone APIs, such as location and notifications.

Thanks!

Of course, there are many different ways to develop a mobile application, and GWT and Phonegap are one of them.
