Launch the BlackBerry app at startup and add a notification that it is running in the background

I want to write a Java BlackBerry application that starts at startup and runs in the background, but gives the user an indication that it works with the icon in the corner of the desktop. What methods can i use?

right click on the Blackberry project -> properties-> applicationica

The Blackberry button is located to the left of the trackball / trackpad or to the left of the back button on the storm. If you press and hold the Blackberry button, the OS will show all running applications in a pop-up window. Do you need more significant notification that the application is running?

Notification feeds and “splat” applications are typically used to display the number of messages and other activities of interest to the user, not just your application.
