Launch the BlackBerry app at startup and add a notification that it is running in the background

I want to write a Java BlackBerry application that starts at startup and runs in the background, but gives the user an indication that it works with the icon in the corner of the desktop. What methods can i use?

To display content on the main screen / status bar, see this stream . You can either specify different states on your own application icon, or add a notification to the BB status bar. Everything is explained there.

right click on the Blackberry project -> properties-> applicationica

  • stored in the background: create an application type project.
  • blackberry application that starts at startup: check the option "autostart at startup".
  • but gives an indication that it works with an icon in the corner: in which corner are you talking?

The Blackberry button is located to the left of the trackball / trackpad or to the left of the back button on the storm. If you press and hold the Blackberry button, the OS will show all running applications in a pop-up window. Do you need more significant notification that the application is running?

Notification feeds and β€œsplat” applications are typically used to display the number of messages and other activities of interest to the user, not just your application.
