What happens if you set the "released for sale" to "no" for automatic renewable subscription in iTunes Connect?

I am considering introducing an automatic renewable subscription in my iOS application, but I want it to end after January 2013. My application is a time-based application that no longer makes sense after January. From what I read on this SO: Apple - suspend / return auto-renewal subscription in the application , if I “uninstall” the in-app product in iTunes Connect, all active subscriptions will be automatically canceled. I think that I could remove the product in January and thereby cancel all active subscriptions.

From what I see, there is no way to “uninstall” a product in an application. You can set it not to "Clear For Sale". Somebody knows:

  • If there really is a way to uninstall the product in the application in iTunes Connect after the product is in real time.
  • If the setting is “cleared for sale” to “no” for automatic renewal, the subscription will effectively do what I want: cancel all active subscriptions in the application

Thanks!
