Mvvm-light: loss of intellisense on VS2012

Question

We use the MVVM Light Toolkit (from Galasoft - Laurent Bugnion). So far we have used Visual Studio 2010. Everything works well (thanks to Laurent).

Two days ago, we switched to Visual Studio 2012. And now Intellisense no longer works in Xaml files (but still works with code).

After looking at the forums and conducting some tests, it turned out that we have a problem with "GalaSoft.MvvmLight.Extras.SL5.dll".

As soon as GalaSoft.MvvmLight.Extras.SL5.dll is removed from the project links, intellisense works again.

Has someone already had the same problem and / or knew a solution?

We had a similar problem when we switched from Silverlight 4 to 5. We used a local copy of the GalaSoft.MvvmLight.Extras.SL5.dll file copied from another computer.

As soon as we installed the MsvmLight.msi package and changed the link in our Silverlight project to C: \ Program Files (x86) \ [...] \ GalaSoft.MvvmLight.Extras.SL5.dll, IntelliSense started working again.
