Maven - File name too long on Unzip

I have a hell of a maven 3 installation time.

I have the source zip 3.0.4. However, I cannot extract it, or I get a file error that is too long on several banks in zip. I am running Windows 7.

I can’t find anything about all this, and I'm starting to wonder, maybe I just don’t know how to install maven in the first place, and not something wrong with zip.

I ran into the same problem using Windows 7 and trying to unzip the original zip code from the official site. To solve the problem, I simply followed the ptyx comment. Instead of using the C: / Program Files / Apache Software Foundation (like their website) I just used C: / Maven

You can "fix" this by copying the archive to the root directory of one of your partitions, and then unzip it to a folder in the same place.
