Create directory as ssh link

I would like to create a directory that links to an external site via ssh. So when I connected to / var / remote / dev 01, it will actually be written to a folder on the remote site. Therefore, I remain on my current terminal and can copy files from any other directory to this / var / remote / dev 01 dir, and it will copy the files to the remote host. Is it even doable?

Yes it is possible. Take a look at SSHFS . It allows you to mount a remote file system on top of ssh and treat it as a local mount point for standard file system operations.

Here is a pleasant walk for you to get started.
