Redirect or specify IP to another server

I am not sure whether to ask this question because it is related to encoding, so if I send a message in the wrong place, please offer me where I should post the messages.

I recently moved my server that I use to host in Thailand to Godaddy, and I moved everything except my website (forum) and the URL it was, http://mydomainname.com/forum now this the forum does not exist on the new server with godaddy, but it exists in the forum directory on the old server. I do not want to load the Godaddy server and thought if I could still host them on the Thai server, but without changing the old URL.

With a subdomain, I think I know how to do this, but I don’t know how to do this by placing another server, but with a child directory.

I'm not sure my question is confusing, but I'm trying to ask how I can point to another server so that my forum works on my http://mydomainname.com/forum

You ask the new server to act as a proxy for the old server by adding something like this to the new htaccess server:

 RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^forum(/.*)?$ http://your.old.server.ip/forum$1 [L,P]

This is a typical question when moving a site from one server to another.

The simple answer is DNS records. You will need to change the name server details and specify what you want. Thus, your URL will point to the new IP address. You can place the site anywhere.
