Is a DWR (direct web remote) dead project?

Is DWR a dead project? He does not seem to be in active development. The latest version 3.0 seems to be stalled. I just wonder if DWR 1.x or 2.x or 3.0 support releases will ever be released.

BTW. I asked this question on one of the DWR mailing lists and did not receive an answer.

Well, version 3.0 takes some time to be released, but it is nonetheless very stable. We use it in our production environment, and so far we have encountered a problem (2 years of use). Important issues on 2.0.X fixed by BTW. (it looks like there are currently no major issues on 2.0.X).

BTW. I asked this question on one of the DWR mailing lists and did not receive an answer.

We had problems before (another version), and they were handlers very fast.

December / 2015 update: V3.0.1 released

It looks like I used DWR as a year ago, and there has been no release since.
Their version 3 is still on RC (release candidate), and from my understanding of the versions, this is not stable or generally accepted.
I would say move on ... pass the DWR. Pass Java too if you can;)
