You must have a valid Mac application certificate to create a Provisioning Profile

Question

I cannot create a production certificate in the Mac Developer Portal. Error:

You must have a valid Mac application certificate to create a Provisioning profile.

Although I have already created a Mac application certificate, and it displays as valid. Any suggestions?

Does this help? ... Remove the certificate and any profiles and create new ones. Also make sure you are logged into the right Apple ID (if your iTunes account ID is different, do not open it at the same time)
