Never want to hide the hint on tall charts

Question

I am using HighCharts in my ASP.Net MVC application using jQuery.

I managed to show a tooltip with a vertical stripe of a crosshair on moving the mouse. However, I do not want to hide this toolbar +, even if the user dragged the mouse out of the chart. Is there any option in Highcharts to achieve this?

I searched the forums but could not find any working example. One of these solutions is related to the clone hint on click event.

You can wrap Highcharts.Tooltip.prototype.hide an empty (no-op) function as follows
