Xcode - Show "scene scene" - it is hidden

I donโ€™t even know what this thing is really called. On some websites, this seems to be called a โ€œdockโ€ or โ€œdockโ€, well, this black bar is disguised as editing the graphical interface in Xcode. Image example

My problem is that this line is displayed in each tutorial and is used for different tasks (for example, gestures), but it does not appear in my Xcode environment (4.3.2).

I looked at the View menu, I looked at the settings, ... I just could not find any way to show this "scene of the scene." Any idea what I can do?

  • "Scene for scene" is visible only in the Storyboard, and not in a single xib file. Do you have a storyboard?
  • If its hidden in your storyboard in some way, don't worry. In fact, you do not need it. "Scene for a scene" contains nothing but the contents of the document outline (left pane in your xib or storyboard where you can find the first responder). You can add, edit or connect all elements in the document structure.
