Failed to remove erlang builds using kerl

I installed Erlang using kerl. I built it as 32-bit, not 64-bit, as it should. Trying to fix my mistake was problematic.

./kerl status

brings me

Available builds: R15B01,r15b01 ---------- Available installations: ---------- The current active installation is: /Users/jason/erlang/r15b01

Then when i try

 ./kerl delete r15b01

or

 ./kerl delete r15b01

I get

 No build named r15b01

and

 ./kerl build R15B01 r15b01

gives me

There already a build named r15b01

Therefore, I cannot rebuild, and I cannot delete the old one. I know that, most likely, I missed something very obvious, but I am new to this and can not find anything on it.

thanks!

You are misinterpreting the syntax for deletion. You need to specify the type of deletion you are doing before specifying the actual assembly.

Instead...

kerl delete build_name

You must enter ...

kerl delete build line_name
kerl delete installation path

To get a list of already installed assemblies or installation paths that you can remove:

kerl list builds
kerl list settings

To view registered settings:

 kerl list installations

To remove one of them:

 kerl delete installation /full/path/from/above

Use the absolute path here, as shown in the list command.

If the uninstall command failed, you can also remove the installation line in the file `~ / kerl / otp_installations, which is not an official solution. Remember to also delete the remaining installation files manually.
