Set video as wallpaper on Android

Question

I want to know how to set a video as wallpaper or it is not possible. I can set the image as wallpaper, and I can create live wallpapers, but I can not set the video as wallpaper? so someone has an idea how can i do this?

I think the only way this can be done is to include it in Live Wallpaper, the disadvantage is that others have mentioned that it will seriously suffer from battery life.

Yes, it is very possible. Android MediaPlayer Class has a setSurface (Surface surface) method. Using this method, you can play videos on any surface. Get the surface from Wallpaper Engine and play the video on it.
