How does Paypal calculate the fees charged to each recipient in the case of a chain of payments made using the Adatprive Payment API?

I am interested in the case when the main recipient is the one who pays all fees. Is the payment calculated on the total amount paid by the sender, or is it the sum of the fees calculated for each coefficient in which the transaction is divided? The result may vary greatly due to fixed 0.30 payment fees for each transaction.

And how does this relate to microtransactions?

I have no idea about the quality of the examples, I just stumbled upon it while searching. However, it appears that the primary recipient may simply pay the amount of fees for which each party would otherwise be liable.
