Hide the VS2010 navigation bar at the top of the text editor

I am using an add-on called Code Map in Visual Studio 2010, which makes the navigation bar at the top of the text editor redundant. Is there any way to hide this? I tried "Hide Navigation Bar" in the text editor options, but it seems to do nothing when not installed. I am not sure of the root to be sure.

This parameter that you talked about works, but, unfortunately, not for all languages. I tested it in VS2010, and when I uncheck the "Navigation bar" checkbox in the "All languages" section, it hides the navigation bar in C # files, but not in VB. If you look more closely at the options for other languages, you will see that the checkbox for the navigation bar is blocked in VB, CSS, F # and some others. You can check the beta version of Visual Studio 11, maybe it has been changed?
