I created an ontology in Protege. Now that my application has better scalability, I like to convert the OWL file to a triple store and request storage.
How to convert the owl file to a triple store?
Strictly speaking, OWL is not an RDF. The OWL specification defines ontologies as a radically different structure than sets of triples. However, all OWL ontologies can be written as RDF plots , so you can store them in 3D storage directly without any preprocessing (note that any compatible OWL Tool MUST be able to serialize ontologies in RDF / XML )
You can try OWLIM and Stardog . Both are triple storage solutions for OWL ontologies.
owl is also an RDF, and you can use jena to load it into TDB
